Farmers Market

Jacob and I had the opportunity to visit the American Countryside Farmers Market this morning after swim lessons. This is a neat experience (I've never visited a farmers market before). There were fresh veggies, fruits, flowers, meat, cheese, and anything else you can think of. Highlites for us were the italian bakery where we picked up some goodies for dinner (I'll have to let you know how that turns out). The first floor is all FOOD - fresh, fried, and frozen just about anything you could think of was there. We took the elevator up to the 2nd floor where we found retail shops. There were tons of handcrafted wood furnature, jewlery, purses, a scrapbooking store, and even an alpaca shop !! Then onto the outside which was full of more fresh veggies, amish handcrafted furnature (some neat outdoor features), fresh flowers, and a few windchimes. My favorite !! There was a windchime there that I fell in love with. It was soo pretty when it chimed. I was sold when they said the center was made from recycled plastic milk jugs. I was unsold when I saw the price was over $70. Maybe another time but I didn't bring that kind of money to the farmers market. Overall I would recommend everyone to visit. I do believe I'll go back for more produce and product. Until next time.....

Summer Evenings

To sit back and reflect on life is what summer evenings were made for. Tonight after Jacob was tucked away in bed Jeff and I took Ella out to play and we sat on our bench to relax. All was quiet and peacefull except for the sounds of distant kids playing (Bristol homecoming), the occasional car passing by, and birds chirping. The sun was shining through the clouds so I grabbed the camera for a quick shot. It was nice to watch Ella play and frolick and to relax for a few. Summer is going by quick and I want to savor evenings like this. Stay tuned for more nurses notes !!

Beautiful Music

My little buddy loves music (hmmm... sound like anyone we know???). Here he gives a concert on his xylophone. Mommy has been busy washing laundry today so Jacob provides music to set the cleaning mood.

'Twas a dark and stormy night.....

Here in Bristol we did get a tiny bit of much needed rain. Between lightning flashes, gusts of wind, and downpours I stepped onto the back porch to quick get a shot of the sky. Kinda erie... ehh?

Summer Fun

We took this picture about 3 weeks ago - on father's day. We try to do fun things like go to the beach, go to the zoo, and play outside. Things that would have been ok to do before are just now fun because of Jacob.
Just watching him explore his surroundings such as sand, water, and the great outdoors is rewarding. I hope he looks back on all that he's done in the first 15 months of his life and thinks how cool his parents are (ha ha). Now, if we're still cool when he's 16 it'll be a miracle.
I like this picture because he looks like he's just bummin in the sand.

Good morning everyone. This is another picture from yesturday's picfest. This happy little guy is growing up so fast. Every day is something new. Over the past 2 days he's started saying "my". For instance "my keys", "my daddy", "my drink". How do kids know to do that? It's not as if we adults teach them this.
He continues to amaze me and is doing new things every day. Stay tuned for more nurses notes....

Loving Life

If this doesn't brighten you day... I don't know what will. Enjoy !

Swimming

Ok sports fans (as Jeff would say)... it's been well over 4 months since I've posted but I am making a committment to get on board with the blogging. Seems as if all the kids are doing it these days. This summer is going very quickly... it's July already. We've knocked down trees, attempted to complete a patio (still in process), and Jacob has been busy taking swim lessons. It's a mommy'n'me class so I get to be in the water with him. How fun ! He is doing well and today he put his face in the water and blew bubbles. Quite the feet for him. We have many friends in the class including cousin McKenzie, JD, and the other Jacob. As far as the rest of the projects around the house we'll still work on those. Too hot today. High is supposed to be 92 !! Stay tuned to more exciting nurses notes...
